Transfers

I've had 6 companions in the 3 1/2 months I've been out. This is the first transfer that I didn't move! Kind of crazy. My new companion is Elder Shreeve! He's a fun guy to be around. He is known in this mission as Shreevo.


This week has gone by pretty normally. Still teaching 6 people (which is a ton for Utah). A family of 4 and 2 boys waiting for the parents to agree on baptism. Have the faith that it will happen. Also another girl in our area but the sisters are teaching her so I don't count it for me.

Shreeve is getting to know the area really fast, which is really impressive to me. I thought I was able to learn areas decently fast. 

It's also valentines day apparently. I don't really care too much about it right now, but it happened. We had a district activity. It was really fun. Board games and getting to know each other. I forgot to get a picture but we can do that next week haha.

We are given weaknesses, so we can be humble. Our weaknesses are God given. I want to ask kind of a weird question. How have your weaknesses blessed you in your life?

 July 24, 2023 *my mother exclaimed her feelings on the brief nature of my emails a fortnight ago, so I have decided to proclaim my story how it should be! Overly dramatic for No reason!! (and I'm low key board so I thought this could be fun). Our hero starts off this week in a gloomy, dangerous area knocking door, after door, after door, in search for "the elect". Where is this you might ask? The war ridden lands of the middle east? No. A scorching desert, or an iced over wasteland? No... Davis County... UTAH!  I was hoping to have the pictures from a baptism that happened a few weeks ago but I just haven't gotten them yet. I know, it lame.  November 3, 2021 Corry and I took Eric to the Colorado Springs airport early in the morning. Some sweet missionaries took our picture when we got inside. They immediately saw us and came up to shake Eric's hand. There's a brotherhood in being a missionary. You stick together and take care of one another. I love that. Eric flew to Salt Lake City, Utah where his cousin, Mariah, picked him up from the airport. She took him back to her house where Aunt Stacey was waiting for him. Mariah and Stacey took him out to Cafe Rio before they took him to BYU where he got to say goodbye to a few of his friends. Then they dropped him off at the MTC! I'm going to miss this kid! I'm proud of him for making this decision to serve. I know he's going to do great things in the two years that he serves the Lord in the Utah Layton Mission.

I'm not dead

April 17, 2023 A lot has happened, as you can imagine. Everything has been super busy and the mission has been great! Elder Eggett got transferred to Farmington and my new companion was Elder Goodwin! He is a great guy. Now I'm with Elder Owens. Also a great guy! We have been able to find so many people to teach, it's great! We are constantly teaching or finding. Elder Goodwin was a great companion. We covered 3 stakes (or 28 congregations), and it was a lot of fun. Now that I'm with Elder Owens we are back to 2 stakes (20 congratulations), and we are busy. We found this great family who went to church with us this weekend!!! We are so happy for them. Many others are close to baptism as well, and we hope they can make that step soon. I have been in the same place for 7 months now, which is unusual for a missionary, but I love it! I'm surprised I'm still here, but I know it's where God needs me to be I read through the New Testament last month and now I'm goi...
