Just a lil bit of a hospital visit and a baptism!!

Hey, yeah. So....
I was in the hospital. 
That wasn't to fun haha. I got 3 needles in me.  Mainly for giving me fluids and taking out some blood and stuff. The stabby stabby part wasn't too fun, but the fluids and drugs they put in me felt good (as they should haha, that is quite literally what the stuff they gave me is meant to do). Less pain is always better than more pain.

The reason I was there is because they thought I had an appendicitis. AND THAT WOULD BE JUST THE WORST. Luckily I just have a stone in my kidney, so not nearly as bad. (Oh did I also mention I had a big bad virus that made me throw up all my food that day...) That was kinda lame too. All my Paces (a restaurant) gone to waste... sad. 

So basically they did scans and blood tests until 3am and then had me go, with some drugs to make me not feel as dead. That was kinda nice. 

The next day wasn't that way though (not nice). I was pretty much lying in bed all day (I was asked to not leave my house for a few days until the virus goes away). I also watched some super bad (stupid funny/ poorly made) old church videos haha!! Those were kinda fun to see! Now I'm just "rolling around" for fun (see video below) (no seriously, watch the video. I don't want you to think I stop, drop, and role for fun). 

I also have been on a bit of a baking kick. I made brownies and a cake. I was hoping to share the cake with my district because someone decided to get baptized in our area!!! But now that I'm sick, and idk how much they will want it anymore.

The baptism was so cool! First one I've been to on my mission. The fun part is, the drain to the font didn't have a way to get unplugged so I had to reach down in the water and pull it out. That is hard to do in a suit btw (pictures below). 

Over all, pretty good week! It was great to see someone dedicate themselves to Christ, and decide to get baptized by the proper authority!! I know heavenly father was smiling up in heaven. God Loves You.

 July 24, 2023 *my mother exclaimed her feelings on the brief nature of my emails a fortnight ago, so I have decided to proclaim my story how it should be! Overly dramatic for No reason!! (and I'm low key board so I thought this could be fun). Our hero starts off this week in a gloomy, dangerous area knocking door, after door, after door, in search for "the elect".  November 3, 2021 Corry and I took Eric to the Colorado Springs airport early in the morning. Some sweet missionaries took our picture when we got inside. They immediately saw us and came up to shake Eric's hand. There's a brotherhood in being a missionary. You stick together and take care of one another. I love that. Eric flew to Salt Lake City, Utah where his cousin, Mariah, picked him up from the airport. She took him back to her house where Aunt Stacey was waiting for him. Mariah and Stacey took him out to Cafe Rio before they took him to BYU where he got to say goodbye to a few of his friends. Then they dropped him off at the MTC! I'm going to miss this kid! I'm proud of him for making this decision to serve. I know he's going to do great things in the two years that he serves the Lord in the Utah Layton Mission.

I'm not dead

April 17, 2023 A lot has happened, as you can imagine. Everything has been super busy and the mission has been great! Elder Eggett got transferred to Farmington and my new companion was Elder Goodwin! He is a great guy. Now I'm with Elder Owens. Also a great guy! We have been able to find so many people to teach, it's great! We are constantly teaching or finding. Elder Goodwin was a great companion. We covered 3 stakes (or 28 congregations), and it was a lot of fun. Now that I'm with Elder Owens we are back to 2 stakes (20 congratulations), and we are busy. We found this great family who went to church with us this weekend!!! We are so happy for them. Many others are close to baptism as well, and we hope they can make that step soon. I have been in the same place for 7 months now, which is unusual for a missionary, but I love it! I'm surprised I'm still here, but I know it's where God needs me to be I read through the New Testament last month and now I'm goi...
