It's been a looooong time

I'm not dead! I would be very impressed if I died in Layton Utah of all places, but you never know. Sorry I haven't emailed in so long. I don't even remember the last time I sent an email to all of you so I'll just talk about this transfer. This transfer has been pretty great so far (I only have 1 week left). 


My entire district has covid rn, and it's not the most fun. I might have it because we were around each other for hours, but me and my companion don't have any symptoms. So basically everyone has been sending memes to each other.

There have been 6 funerals in my area (in about 4 square miles) in the last month. You may have heard about Macie Hill passing away in a parade recently. It was everywhere on the news, and a lot of cheerleaders from the neighboring states came to support her and her family. So many people drew pictures, paintings, photoshoped her with Jesus, etc. It was a great service. God has a plan, and through His Gospel we can all return back to him and to our families forever.

We also went to the temple. Once I learned about the tabernacle, then went through the Endowment/Initiatory, things made so much more sense. I love the temple, even though it's repetitive. I learn things that apply to my personal studies so much more.

There are some great families in the stakes I cover. They are so kind, and we eat dinner with them whenever we can (still limited to dinner on the weekends). I have never eaten that fancy in my life. Growing up I didn't like fancy things so we didn't have too much steak, lobster, etc. I really like them now tho!!!

I'm also made some more music while I was quarantined for a time. I will have to produce it, and actually make it a full song after my mission. Then I can release it and stuff. I guess you will have to wait to hear it.

We also made rings as a district and it was so cool! For those that don't know, I love rings. Making my own was a fun time.

This transfer has been hectic but I have loved it. My Comp is Elder Kropf and he is just a great, chill kinda guy.

I'm sure I'm missing other things that happened, but hopefully I remember them by next email haha.

 July 24, 2023 *my mother exclaimed her feelings on the brief nature of my emails a fortnight ago, so I have decided to proclaim my story how it should be! Overly dramatic for No reason!! (and I'm low key board so I thought this could be fun). Our hero starts off this week in a gloomy, dangerous area knocking door, after door, after door, in search for "the elect".  November 3, 2021 Corry and I took Eric to the Colorado Springs airport early in the morning. Some sweet missionaries took our picture when we got inside. They immediately saw us and came up to shake Eric's hand. There's a brotherhood in being a missionary. You stick together and take care of one another. I love that. Eric flew to Salt Lake City, Utah where his cousin, Mariah, picked him up from the airport. She took him back to her house where Aunt Stacey was waiting for him. Mariah and Stacey took him out to Cafe Rio before they took him to BYU where he got to say goodbye to a few of his friends. Then they dropped him off at the MTC! I'm going to miss this kid! I'm proud of him for making this decision to serve. I know he's going to do great things in the two years that he serves the Lord in the Utah Layton Mission.

I'm not dead

April 17, 2023 A lot has happened, as you can imagine. Everything has been super busy and the mission has been great! Elder Eggett got transferred to Farmington and my new companion was Elder Goodwin! He is a great guy. Now I'm with Elder Owens. Also a great guy! We have been able to find so many people to teach, it's great! We are constantly teaching or finding. Elder Goodwin was a great companion. We covered 3 stakes (or 28 congregations), and it was a lot of fun. Now that I'm with Elder Owens we are back to 2 stakes (20 congratulations), and we are busy. We found this great family who went to church with us this weekend!!! We are so happy for them. Many others are close to baptism as well, and we hope they can make that step soon. I have been in the same place for 7 months now, which is unusual for a missionary, but I love it! I'm surprised I'm still here, but I know it's where God needs me to be I read through the New Testament last month and now I'm goi...
