Transfers and News

March 21, 2022 


Yeah! So transfers are happening! That's kind of cool. I'm staying with my companion in the exact same area so I'm not changing too much but 2 people in my district are leaving so there is still a change there. I love the last transfer and I hope to have another great transfer. I am still the district leader which means very little haha, but I like having that responsibility. I personally like leadership roles. I feel like I can do my best in those positions. 


We also found new people to teach!! There are a few potentials in the area, and another that we met for the first time today. She is SO READY to get baptized and has already prayed to know if the Book of Mormon is true (thank you to the missionaries who taught her before <3). It is honestly so cool to see that desire so early! 

We also did service at the mill! It's kind of mundane stuff over and over again, but it's good to serve! We didn't get a good picture all together but the one I have has the top of my head in it, and that's it. Anyway, good place to go to do something easy for a few hours.

 July 24, 2023 *my mother exclaimed her feelings on the brief nature of my emails a fortnight ago, so I have decided to proclaim my story how it should be! Overly dramatic for No reason!! (and I'm low key board so I thought this could be fun). Our hero starts off this week in a gloomy, dangerous area knocking door, after door, after door, in search for "the elect". Where is this you might ask? The war ridden lands of the middle east? No. A scorching desert, or an iced over wasteland? No... Davis County...  November 3, 2021 Corry and I took Eric to the Colorado Springs airport early in the morning. Some sweet missionaries took our picture when we got inside. They immediately saw us and came up to shake Eric's hand. There's a brotherhood in being a missionary. You stick together and take care of one another. I love that. Eric flew to Salt Lake City, Utah where his cousin, Mariah, picked him up from the airport. She took him back to her house where Aunt Stacey was waiting for him. Mariah and Stacey took him out to Cafe Rio before they took him to BYU where he got to say goodbye to a few of his friends. Then they dropped him off at the MTC! I'm going to miss this kid! I'm proud of him for making this decision to serve. I know he's going to do great things in the two years that he serves the Lord in the Utah Layton Mission.

I'm not dead

April 17, 2023 A lot has happened, as you can imagine. Everything has been super busy and the mission has been great! Elder Eggett got transferred to Farmington and my new companion was Elder Goodwin! He is a great guy. Now I'm with Elder Owens. Also a great guy! We have been able to find so many people to teach, it's great! We are constantly teaching or finding. Elder Goodwin was a great companion. We covered 3 stakes (or 28 congregations), and it was a lot of fun. Now that I'm with Elder Owens we are back to 2 stakes (20 congratulations), and we are busy. We found this great family who went to church with us this weekend!!! We are so happy for them. Many others are close to baptism as well, and we hope they can make that step soon. I have been in the same place for 7 months now, which is unusual for a missionary, but I love it! I'm surprised I'm still here, but I know it's where God needs me to be I read through the New Testament last month and now I'm goi...
